Edinburgh is a city world-famous for its Festivals. We can’t get enough of them and were delighted to hear that Edinburgh’s Grassmarket have created their own to be held from Friday 29th April to Sunday 1st May.

The live music festival, complete with tea dances will be open from from Friday 29th April until Sunday 1st May and is free to attend.

The festival is being organised by the Grassmarket Area Traders Association, in association with Avalanche Records, Red Dog Music and Dancebase. The Grassmarket Ferstival will showcase work from many of Scotland’s leading and most innovative artists and makers. Reworked vintage clothing, furniture and ceramics sitting alongside secondhand vinyl, artist books, quilts and other cool collectibles.

A common theme running through the festival will be that of tea, handmade cakes, and of the vintage and recycled.

Matched to all this will be an exciting programme of live music from many of Scotland’s unsigned bands.
