“Christ in the heart of the city at Easter” has always been the motto of the Princes St Easter Play. The organizers are preparing again to put on a free production of the last days of Jesus life to be played out in West Princes St gardens. This year the play will be performed in the morning as well as the afternoon on Easter Saturday April 11th. Capacity audience figures of 4500 in 2007 and the desire to give people a greater opportunity to be part of experiencing what it might have been like, to live with Jesus in those last days, has prompted the decision to put on 2 performances. The morning performance is at 10.30am and the afternoon performance at 2.30pm.
