Part of an Edinburgh street was closed off after an underground electrical fault caused a loud bang.

Police cordoned off an areas around a manhole in Albany Street for about an hour from 0950 GMT.

Scottish Power had to shut off the local power supply in order to work at the site to investigate what caused the mini explosion.
