Severe Weather – Confirmed school closures – Thursday morning updates

This list is being updated as we receive confirmation from schools.  The most recent updates this morning are that the following primaries will re-open today (Thursday):
  • Currie, Brunstane, Duddingston, Newcraighall, East Craigs. (In addition to those already confirmed below)

And the following primaries will be closed:

  • Drumbrae, Burdiehouse (In addition to those already confirmed below)
The following nursery classes will be closed on Thursday 7 January:
  • Dalmeny (school open)
  • Davidsons Mains (school open)
  • St Mary’s, Leith  (school open)
The following special schools will be closed on Thursday 7 January:
  • Redhall
  • Woodlands
  • Braidburn
  • Wellington
 The following special schools will re-open on Thursday 7 January:
  • St Crispin’s
  • Oaklands
  • Kaimes
The following primary schools will re-open on Thursday 7 January:
  • Gracemount
  • Buckstone (only open for P1 and P2)
  • Towerbank
  • St John Vianney
  • Currie
  • Brunstane
  • Duddingston
  • Newcraighall
  • East Craigs
 The following primary schools will be closed on Thursday 7 January:
  • Dean Park
  • St Cuthbert’s
  • St Catherine’s
  • Drumbrae
  • Burdiehouse
The following secondary schools will be closed on Thursday 7 January:
  • Balerno (also closed Friday 8th)

The following secondary schools will re-open on Thursday 7 January:

  • Holy Rood
