Heating failure shuts city school

Broughton Primary School has a roll of 290 pupils

Broughton Primary School will reopen on Friday after it was closed due to a boiler breaking down.

Children at Broughton Primary School were told not to come to school on Thursday after the building was left without heating.

Edinburgh City Council told BBC Scotland news website that the boiler had now been fixed and that the school had only been closed for 24 hours.

Broughton Primary School has a roll of 290 pupils.
