Firefighters are tackling two large blazes in the centre of Edinburgh.

The alarm was raised shortly after 2100 BST when one fire was reported in the city's Victoria Street.

A resident of the street told the BBC Scotland News website that flames appeared to be coming from the Khushis Indian Restaurant.

Crews were also called to a second blaze in Frederick Street after a fire broke out in a shop. There are no reports of any casualties.
