Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party Passes Sold Out

With just over a week to go until the big night, Edinburgh's world famous Hogmanay Street Party is proving to be as popular as ever with this year's allocation of £10 Street Party passes selling out.

However all is not lost if you still want to attend this year's Street Party. Priced at £17, the remaining Pass Plus package includes a Street Party Pass and exclusive commemorative Edinburgh's Hogmanay 08/09 saltire hat. Pass Plus packages are available online at www.edinburghshogmanay.com, or bycalling Edinburgh's Hogmanay box office line on 0844 481 2009.

Attracting 100,000 party goers, Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party is one of the best New Year celebrations in the World, where people from all over the planet come to see in the New Year in style.This year acts like Glasvegas, Attic Lights, Hot Chip, The Complete Stone Roses, The Hoosiers, Peatbog Faeries, Michelle McManus and Broken Records, to name a few, are proving to be a winning combination for party goers keen to celebrate the auld year's night in great Scottish style.

When the 2008/9 Street Party Passes first went on sale in October, over 10,000 were scooped up by revellers in just six hours - and, as more and more bands have been added to the evening's line up, the party passes have continued to be the hottest ticket for 31 December 2008.

As well as Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party, there are 4 paid-for events that still have availability, including the Concert in the Gardens (Garden tickets only remain), the Glayva Ceilidh in the Gardens, The Hoog and Boogie Wonderland. Buying tickets for these events also includes entry into the Street Party. As a special Christmas Eve gift, Edinburgh's Hogmanay is launching a 'four for three' ticket promotion for the disco-tastic, Boogie Wonderland - a night of funky 70's fun, flares and flashbacks as well as the return of Silent Disco , a major hit during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Pass Plus and our other tickets s can also be purchased or picked up at the Box Office in East Princes Street Gardens until 30th December. Last minute passes can be bought or collected from the St Andrew Square Box Office on 31st December from 10am right up to 10pm

Listed as one of the top 100 things to do before you die, Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party will be an even more memorable experience this year when the stages go live at the earlier time of 9.00pm and there will be a new light and laser canopy along Princes Street as well as spectacular fireworks to mark the midnight moment.

We've put together a fantastic programme that is bigger, longer and more varied than ever before. With some of the hottest acts in the UK ready to take centre stage, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone to the city and keeping the party going into the wee small hours."

This year the Street Party has four live stages, each with a distinct musical style and fantastic acts, all accessible with an Edinburgh's Hogmanay £17 Pass Plus ticket:

The Waverley Stage plays host to the hottest band of the moment, Glasvegas, supported by The Complete Stone Roses, Attic Lights and Broken Records

The Scott Monument Stage is the place to be for something with a real Scottish flavour, as the Peatbog Faeries are supported by Moishie's Bagel, Burach and Watergaw

If you're after something a bit more pop in its focus, then try The Mound Stage where the Great Calverto plays alongside Michelle McManus and the Concrete Jungle Collective

Finally, the new West End DJ Stage, promises thrilling DJ sets from Hot Chip, The Hoosiers and B-Side & the Bandit (resident DJ at Sugarbeat).
