An Intimate Evening With Steve Forbert, with Support Act, Esther O'Connor.

On Monday the 1st December a very special evening is being held in THE CAVES, Edinburgh, In the Eerie subterranean venue of the Caves, all the way from Meridian, mississippi comes the one and only Steve Forbert, Best known for his 1980 hit "Romeo's tune" and with 27 albums now behind him, once oft compared to Bob Dylan because of his voice and lyrics, but now recognised as a genius of his own making, Steve makes this date his only Scottish stop on his winter 08/09 tour with the lure of playing in this historic setting just too much, his last studio album " Strange names and new sensations" in 2007 has been well received and its slight on middle age showing Forberts maturity.
And as a prequel to the main act we have Scotlands own Esther O'Connor warming up the audience with no doubt a selection of tracks from her just released 2nd album 'Right Here' , Esther who deserves far greater recognition than she currently has and who will without doubt hit the big time in the near future, follows up the first album 'The place where we are' in great style with a voice that has been described as suzanne vega meets cheryl crow, and there are surefire top 20 singles in the new cd.

So for the princely sum of £13.50 you can catch these two great acts at 7.30pm on Monday 1st December at 'The Caves@ Niddry street south, Edinburgh.
