Police said they feared the structure would fall onto the road
A pub was evacuated and a street closed while a worker was rescued from a cherry picker which had been blown against a building in Edinburgh.

Lothian and Borders Police said they feared the machine would fall onto the road following the incident in MacDonald Road at 1545 GMT on Thursday.

The road between Leith Walk and Broughton Road was reopened at 1700 GMT after firefighters rescued the worker.

An eye witness said two wheels of the cherry picker lifted off the ground.
