Bus Diversions: Monday 29 December

Details of evening Bus Diversions in the City Centre on 29 December.....

Due to the ‘Torchlight Parade’ bus services will be disrupted in the City Centre on Monday 29 December, between 1730 and 2100 hours.  

The east end of Princes Street, Hanover St / The Mound, North Bridge and Leith Street will all be closed to traffic. The following are brief descriptions of the diversions which will affect services that evening, these diversions apply in both directions (for a detailed map of the diversions click here) 

Services from Princes Street to York Place or Leith Street will divert via Frederick Street and Queen Street.  

Services from Tollcross to Dundas Street will divert via Lothian Road, Princes Street and Frederick Street.  

Services from Nicolson Street to West Approach Road, West End or Stockbridge will divert via Nicolson Square, Potterrow, Forrest Road/Bristo Place, Lauriston Place, Lothian Road to West Approach Road or West End (buses to Stockbridge continue on diversion via Princes Street and Frederick Street). Services 41 and 42 join this diversion at Potterrow.  

Services from Elm Row or Broughton Street to Nicolson Street will divert via London Road, Abbeymount, Abbeyhill and Canongate. Service 5 joins this diversion at Cadzow Place via Montrose Terrace. 

Service 36 is diverted from Princes Street via Frederick Street, Queen Street, London Road, Abbeymount, Abbeyhill to Horse Wynd (Holyrood).  

Service 100 is diverted from Princes Street via Frederick Street and Queen Street and will terminate at St Andrew Square for the duration of the diversion.
