‘Money Matters’ event for deaf and deafblind people

posted 19 Nov 2010, 04:08 by myEdinburgh Admin
Scottish Council on Deafness (SCoD) is the lead organisation for deaf issues in Scotland. SCoD was awarded funding from The Big Lottery Fund for the 2 year Counselling Awareness Project. At the start of this year four month extension funding was awarded from The Big Lottery Recession Fund. This extra funding will allow us to raise awareness of money advice organisations and improve access to these organisations for deaf and deafblind people.

A ‘Money Matters’ event is being held at Deaf Action, 49 Albany Street, Edinburgh EH1 3QY on Thursday 25th November 3-5pm for deaf and deafblind people. Come along and see displays from Citizens Advice Edinburgh, Capital Credit Union and others. Meet their staff and find out more about their services.

BSL/English Interpreters and Electronic Notetakers will be available on the day and tea and coffee will be provided.

There is no need to book, just come along.
