An award-winning high school band from the Western United States will perform a free concert on Friday, April 4 at Old St. Paul Cathedral in Edinburgh beginning at 2 p.m.
The Stadium High School Concert Band, from Tacoma Washington state, will perform the Lord of the Rings Symphony, by Johan de Meij; Ave Maria by Franz Biebl and Sleep, by Eric Whitacre.



Under the direction of David Mulkins, the Stadium band has received several distinctions including second place at the Heritage

International Band Festival in Anaheim, California and the Band of Distinction award at the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia.



The band has toured Italy, Washington D.C., New Orleans, has twice competed in Anaheim, Calif., and has been invited to play in Austria and Ontario.
